Component C - Solarisation of Grid Connected Agriculture Pumps
Individual Pump Solarisation (IPS)
Objective
Individual farmers having grid connected agriculture pump will be supported to solarise pumps. Solar PV capacity up to two times of pump capacity in kW is allowed.
Financial Support
- CFA: 30% of benchmark/tender cost
- State Government: at-least 30%
- Farmer: at-most 40% (bank finance available, initial payment 10%)
- NE States etc.: CFA 50% + State 30% + Farmer 20%
Benefits
- Farmer uses solar power for irrigation needs
- Excess solar power sold to DISCOMs
Feeder Level Solarisation (FLS)
Objective
States can solarize the agriculture feeders. Solar plants catering to agriculture load of selected feeder installed through CAPEX/RESCO mode for 25 years.
Financial Support
- CFA: 30% on installation cost (up to Rs. 1.05 Cr/MW)
- NE States etc.: 50% subsidy
- CAPEX: Advance 40% CFA on signing work agreement, balance on commissioning
- RESCO: 100% CFA on commissioning and COD
Benefits
- Farmers get day-time reliable power for irrigation free of cost or at fixed tariff
- Loan for feeder separation from NABARD/PFC/REC
