Installation of 14 Lakh Stand-alone Solar Agriculture Pumps

Objective

Individual farmers will be supported to install standalone solar Agriculture pumps of capacity up to 7.5 HP in off-grid areas, where grid supply is not available.

Eligibility

• Individual farmers
• Water User Associations
• Community/cluster based irrigation system

Financial Support

• CFA: 30% of benchmark/tender cost (whichever lower)
• State Government: at-least 30% subsidy
• Farmer: at-most 40% (can avail bank finance, initial payment only 10%)
• For NE States, Sikkim, J&K, HP, Uttarakhand, Lakshadweep, A&N Islands: CFA 50% + State 30% + Farmer 20%

• Replaces diesel powered agriculture pumps
• Pumps up to 7.5 HP (higher capacity allowed but subsidy limited to 7.5 HP)
• De-dieselisation of farm sector
